How to Install ESXi FREE Web Client Interface HTML5

VMware labs has released new tool to manage ESXi host via web client without the need of vCenter server.This version of the ESXi Embedded Host Client is written purely in HTML and JavaScript, and is served directly from your ESXi host and should perform much better than any of the existing solutions. Please note that the Host Client cannot be used to manage vCenter. Currently, the client is in its development phase, but we are releasing this Fling to elicit early feedback from our users to help guide the development and user experience that we are creating.

What The ESXi Web client can do?

  • VM operations (Power on, off, reset, suspend, etc).
  • Creating a new VM, from scratch or from OVF/OVA (limited OVA support)
  • Configuring NTP on a host
  • Displaying summaries, events, tasks and notifications/alerts
  • Providing a console to VMs
  • Configuring host networking
  • Configuring host advanced settings
  • Configuring host services
Steps to install Web Interface client,
 
  •  
    SSH to the ESXi host and Install the VIB,
    esxcli software vib install -v /vmfs/volumes/Datastore-Path/esxui-2976804.vib
 
  • After successful installation navigate to the new client – https://ESXi-hostname/ui  and Log in with your host username and password.

Web client interface is cool and you can do all host related task, such as adding new VM, Power ON, Power OFF, Performance graphs, start/stop ESXi services such as SSH and ESXi Shell.

(Guide) How to Show My Computer Icon on Desktop in Windows 10 & 8.1

Everyone prefers to have My Computer icon on the desktop, as its easy to access contents of the My Computer. But latest versions of Windows such as Windows 7 , 8, 8.1 and 10 does not it by default anymore. So if someone wants My Desktop icon on Desktop has to use below instructions,

"My Computer" Icon on Windows 10 Desktop

To add Computer, Recycle Bin, Control Panel, or your User folder icon to the desktop, Right Click on Desktop and select "Personalize" option

 
Now select "Themes" option which is on the left-hand side, and then select "Desktop icon settings" under the “Related Settings” section.


And now you can click the checkboxes for the icons that you want on your desktop. Do not forget to apply the settings.
