[Guide] Network Printer Installation in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1


Windows 8 and 8.1 is a new operating system of Microsoft Corporation and it has lots of new features compared with the older versions. Below guide will show you how to Install Network Printer in Windows 8 and in Windows 8.1.
1. Open Control Panel and navigate to Device and Printers

4. Both Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems supports TCP/IP printing. So select Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname.

5. Select Device Type as TCP/IP Device and in Hostname or IP address tab enter your Printer IP Address.

6. Windows 8 will automatically detects printer drives if not select printer drivers manually and click next.

7. Provide any name to your printer and click Next.

8. If you required you can shared network printer which is installed on your PC.

9. Set the installed printer as default and click on finish to complete the network printer installation.

Newly installed printer will be visible in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers
